Getting to Carnegie Violin Competition took place on January 11, 2015 at Carnegie Recital Hall. In a sold-out event which was organized by 2NYC and Julian Gargiulo, the four finalists, Haeji Kim from Juilliard School of Music, Nuné Melikian from Moscow Conservatory, Margarita Krein from Manhattan School of Music, and Carter Coleman from Cleveland Institute of Music gave their best in front of an excited crowd. Julian left it up to his favorite New York audience to decide which one of the violinists performed his sonata the best. In the end, even though Haeji Kim got the most votes she had to forfeit the prize. For the full 'drama' read the Huffington Post story.
